Emily Ortiz
Emily is the Director of Wellness at Le Sol. As a previous athlete, she has practiced yoga as a way to heal her body since she was 16. After moving to Dallas in 2018, she began to deepen her practices of yoga and meditation as a way to work through childhood trauma. These practices served as a catalyst to begin her journey of self healing and discovery. She is a 200-hour certified yoga instructor, 200-hour certified meditation practitioner, Reiki Level 1 attuned, doula, birthworker, and lululemon Ambassador. She has been a student of Dean Hollingsworth of Dallas Ashtanga Yoga Shala and Whapio Bartlett of The Matrona. Her passion is to help people see that the greatest healer you will ever have is yourself.
Lauren James
Lauren was born and raised in Rockwall, TX. During college in East Texas, she attended a yoga class that impacted her greatly. After doing yoga consistently as a means of coping with anxiety and depression, she wanted to become a teacher to help others with their mental health obstacles. She is a registered 500-hour yoga instructor and has been teaching and learning for the past 4 years. Studying and teaching in East Texas, Austin, India, and Nepal, she is credited in sound healing, yin, vinyasa, trauma-informed yoga, and yoga nidra. She continues to use her knowledge of yoga and Ayurvedic nutrition to help others live a balanced and peaceful life!
Marison Clayton
Marison began practicing yoga at age 17 as a means of recovery from cross-country running. During her years in university, she continued practicing as a daily ritual and decided she would eventually train to be a teacher. She finished her 200-hour certification in early 2020 at Super Yoga Palace and is currently training in Katonah Yoga. Her personal yoga practice focuses on ashtanga, hatha, and yin and she has practiced under Dean Hollingsworth of Dallas Ashtanga Yoga Shala and Nevine Michaan of Katonah Yoga. Her classes are inspired by these practices, the seasons, curated playlists, and whatever fantasy book she’s currently reading. Marison joined the le sol team in spring 2023, when she returned to Dallas after living in Madrid for a year. In her classes, you can expect to find creative ways to connect movements with breath and feel autonomy over your own practice, while not taking yourself too seriously. She creates a space for students of all levels to feel at home in their bodies.
Douchka Lecot
Douchka Lecot has dedicated two decades to the profound practices and teachings of Tantra, meditation, yoga, and Ayurveda within the vibrant Dallas-Fort Worth Community. Her journey of exploration and instruction has been enriched by the wisdom of influential figures such as Christopher Wallis, Daniel Odier, Psalm Isadora, Osho, and Alexander Siebenstern. Yet, her ultimate guru has always been the boundless Mediterranean Sea, with her ever-flowing nature mirroring the fluidity and adaptability she imparts. She has a unique ability to guide individuals through somatic experiences that tap into the wisdom of the body and the befriending of the mind, fostering a sense of connection, inner peace, and self-awareness. Whether on solid ground or in the soothing embrace of water, she holds a space for others to freely explore, feel and self empower on their transformative journey towards recognizing who they are, and truly living with deeper acceptance and self love.
Sally Patton
Meet Sally Raymond Patton, a Dallasite with roots tangled in the charm of East Texas’ piney woods. With a whopping 500 hours of yoga training, Sally's teaching style is like a slow dance with nature – intentional, exploratory, and delightfully unhurried. She's all about laying down the basics and letting her students groove to their own rhythm. In addition to being a teacher Sally is Le Sol's master gardener, tending and caring for the plants and herbs throughout the year. Off the mat, Sally's a free spirit, with a green thumb and some mad culinary skills. From teaching tiny tots to wise seniors, Sally welcomes all to her quirky corner of self-discovery and growth. So, grab your mat and join the fun – every breath is a chance to giggle, stretch, and find your zen!
Emily Dewberry
Emily is a Dallas native, former corporate event designer turned breathwork facilitator, and a meditation and intuitive tarot guide. She uses the tools of breath work, meditation, energetic reiki healing, intuitive tarot reading, and mat pilates to support the internal and external growth in her students. Her mission is to break the mold of what it means to truly embody who you are meant to be. She believes that society was never meant to dictate who you are and that with a few edits and faith in yourself you can truly become the most embodied version of yourself. Emily is the founder of Embody Edit and owns her own reiki-infused jewlery line, Ripple.
Katie Harris
Katie is a trained yoga, and meditation teacher as well as self proclaimed nature enthusiast. She uses gentle movements, energy work, and pranayama to ease students into a connection with the deeper self- as well as highlighting our oneness with the Earth and elements around us. Personally, her practice brings her more clarity in her prayer life as well as connection to God. She’s passionate about sharing this practice as something you can incorporate not only on your mat, but apply into your everyday moments and life. Off the mat, she and her husband Matt are a local Real Estate team, owners of Anderson Creek Cabins in Glen Rose, Tx, and most importantly, parents to Beau Jo and Rosie!
Mona Pernisco
Mona is a content creator, yoga teacher, entrepreneur and real estate investor. Over the past years, she dedicated herself to enriching her grasp of manifestation, intertwining it with her yoga and meditation journey. This transformative experience paved the way for Mona to craft a life abundant in travel, adventure, and financial freedom. Her mission is to teach and inspire others how to achieve the same by manifesting their dream life.
Jessica Jordan
Jessica Jordan considers herself an artist. She's a healing and performing artist who intertwines somatic movement, breath, and energy work into classes specifically for the creative kind. A student of Katonah Yoga, she understands that there is a season in everything, and she weaves this wisdom into her instruction. She's an E-RYT, Reiki Master, the founder of Super Yoga Palace, and a long-time member of The Polyphonic Spree. When she's not healing or singing, she's producing films with her husband, director Josh David Jordan; their most recent project, El Tonto Por Cristo, is in post-production.
Mary Lyles
After taking her first yoga class at a studio almost 15 years ago, Mary found yoga again in 2018 when she moved to Fort Worth from Seattle. Re-falling in love after a 5 year hiatus to focus on her career, yoga ended up being a tool that helped her adjust to a new life after a big cross-country move and coping with grief. With a regular practice established and a curiosity to expand her knowledge of what yoga truly was at its core, she decided to head to Barranquilla, Colombia for her 200 hour yoga training in 2022. Mary enjoys curating a creative class that guides you explore the connection between breathe, mind, and body and helps go deeper into the self.
Lexi Milam
Lexi offers yin yoga, restorative yoga, yoga nidra, meditation, reiki, and self-myofascial release classes and delivers them in a trauma-informed approach. These powerful, softening, and nourishing practices speak deeply to her, and she applies the riches and wisdom gleaned from these practices combined with over 440 training hours to the classes she teaches. Beyond teaching, she supports local yoga studios build broader brand awareness through social media, marketing, studio expansion projects, trainings, and retreats. Lexi has been practicing yoga since the age of 17, dancing since she was 2, and teaching yoga since 2017 — when she was first certified in hatha yoga at Studio 8 near her hometown in Huntington, West Virginia.
Shawn Burns
Shawn Burns is a dedicated Yoga Teacher (RYT 500), and the proud owner of Light Space Yoga Studio in Dallas, Texas, with a passion for guiding others on their wellness journey. His love for people and commitment to fostering inclusive health and wellness spaces has led Shawn to focus on creating environments that promote positivity, a healthy lifestyle, and effective stress management. Through his expertise, empathy, and genuine care for others, Shawn aims to make a meaningful impact on the well-being of individuals across the community. Whether leading a class in studio or working privately with practitioners, Shawn's dedication to yoga and holistic wellness shines through in all that he does. His approach is centered around compassion, mindfulness, and the belief that everyone deserves access to the tools and support they need to lead fulfilling and balanced lives.
